    Good luck if you want to try to get into AFTRS, highly competitve, only the top few filmakers in australia. Entry is only open to Citizens and permanent residents. There is a few private schools arround.

    RMIT V.S Swinburne ....Film school in Melbourne

    AFTRS is post-grad only. It accepts usually between 4-12 people into their courses from across australia, which are speciallied craft courses, not general film courses. you need serious amounts of filmmaking experience to get in. Am based in brisbane, so cant say about RMIT and Swinburne

    its undergrad. i hope to eventually do my masters down at the Australian Film Televison and Radio School, AFTRS- its the premier film school in australia, graduate stuff only, down in sydney, through usually only between 12-4 people get accepted there per year from accross australia in their MA...

    QUT is the queensland university of technology. Their film course has developed a reputation as being one of the best in the state, and the country, and only accepting 16 people is probably why. Hopefully i can get in, if not the whole interview process should be a great experience.

    Just found out I've been shortlisted to the Bachelor of Fine Arts(Film and TV) at QUT over here in Australia. The interview is Next Week, theres only 16 places going in the course, so all i can be is hopefull.

    work on your folio then try. but theres nothing to loose applying now as well, but any good filmschools are competitive to get into

    i know the aftrs(australian school of film television and radio) post-grad program pretty well. and to be honest it is the place to be, if studying australia at the moment.
