I haven't put quite as much effort into this as I did into my research on the schools themselves, but this is what I have for the schools I applied to.
Remember that FAFSA applies to all of these schools.

Grad school actually. Thanks for letting me know that though! Maybe since I was pushing so hard in my application for a chance to study actual traditional filmmaking that they saw I wasn't right for their program.
I officially got my rejection letter from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee… Which I wouldn't feel very upset about except to me their standards for applications seemed much lower than the rest. I still have my interview with FSU to look forward to, but still… Maybe I just was not quite...
I haven't heard from them yet either. In fact, I haven't heard from any of the schools I applied to (USC, FSU, LMU, UWM, Columbia College Chicago, or DePaul). They've all said that I shouldn't be hearing anything until well into February so I'm not too anxious yet.
Thanks for this! Obviously your understanding of the school would be better than mine! I'm sure some things have shifted a little, and I did manage to get all the application materials submitted. I was just noting that they required significantly more in their application as compared to the...
Directing and Cinematography. My photography background makes me love cinematography, but my dance/choreography background makes me love directing. :D
Even with those preferences, I'm still very interested in knowing about all aspects of production.
Okay… My applications are done, I'm confirming that all the schools have received transcripts, and I guess now the waiting begins? Can anyone give a clear timeline of how this is supposed to go down?
I'm confused about who asks for interviews, when they ask them, and when to apply for...
U GUIZE I'm very jealous of all you screenwriters having a little support group. What about me and my Directing MFA applications?! I have no one to fret with!
Thanks everyone! I was hoping this would benefit those beyond my own obsessive compulsive self.
That's a good question… I had a very valid answer at the time I began compiling all of this (in October…). However, those reasons are escaping me right now.
I can say with confidence that I skipped...

After a back-and-forth chat with Chris, the guy responsible for this amazing forum, he asked if I would share the pages of research and info I have been gathering as I narrowed down the graduate schools I was looking into for applying. And since I have finally finished all my applications (all...
It's not the weather… In fact I love cooler weather and snow. My decisions came down to my understanding of myself, and that living there would put me into constant worry mode about how I would live and pay for everything. With how I see myself in 5 years, I just don't see myself being in NYC...
