Just admitted too. I went to one of their information sessions back in September, and a good friend is an alum. What do you want to know?
Here's a snippet from one of my posts back when I went to an info session that might be helpful.
"Most classes happen in the evening because so many...
I called the Financial Aid Office yesterday. They said they have not yet received FAFSA information. So, at least in the case of domestic students, I was told no financial awards have been issued and to expect my financial aid package in March.
As far as anyone knows, there've been no international acceptances. Just based on that, it makes absolutely zero sense that admissions is done issuing acceptances. There will be another round. Hang in there.
We can always play a game while we wait. Create a story together? Each person writes two paragraphs and then hands off to the next person in the thread, who then picks up where their predecessor left off. It's nerdy, but it could be sort of a fun time waster. I'll start.
They look at each...
In an ideal world, maybe that would be the case. Thank you for the well wishes, but I'm a realist. This probably isn't going to happen. And that's okay. Life moves on.
Hi. Person who was told March 1 here. My situation is a bit unique from most, I think. First off, my admission denial letter did not come from TFT. It came from UCLA's Diversity, Inclusion, and Admission Department. Jill and Phyllis explained this to me during my interview. They pick who they...

The application was fairly straightforward, balancing between what UCLA and USC require. I had most of the bones of the materials already formatted. It also helped that the only other film school in the country with a program like the Showrunner Program is NYU. Since I want to stay in Southern...
It wasn't bad. But then again, I tackled the application in phases. The first was the basic application information and transcripts. The second was the creative portfolio and resume. Phase 3 was the creative challenges and the essays, all of which I'm attaching. And the final phase was the...
helloitsme is correct. There's no statement of purpose per se. Maybe you can convert it into your autobiographical statement or character sketch. The statement of purpose may also be useful when answering the scholarship prompts. I believe one of them fits with it nicely.
They said specifically at the information session I attended that you should put your name on all your submitted material. I'm putting in the header of everything: my name, my USC ID#, the title of the sample, and the page number.
