Attending (Admitted After Interview) Chapman University - Showrunner MFA

Simple application rather straight forward. Need a narrative essay, a transformational essay, statement of intent, and portfolio. Each prompt needed no clarification. Need to know basics of a screenplay for multiple prompts. The most simple and straightforward of all applications in my opinion.

Admitted but Not Attending (After Interview) Loyola Marymount - MFA Writing and Producing for Television

Simple, well-put together application and fairly straight-forward. All materials have long descriptions of expectations. A video portion is required to answer questions. Full-length original 1/2 hour screenplay a major factor in the application

Denied (w/o Interview) UCLA - Screenwriting

Very straight forward application with freedom of open prompts. Can include two half-an-hour screenplays for television or one feature-length screenplay. Personal statement and statement of intent required. No other essays required.

Denied (w/o Interview) USC MFA Writing for Screen and Television

Lengthy application with multiple prompt sections. Long form essays, speaking about experiences included as well. Only allows for up to 10 pages of a screenplay. Not challenging, but definitely takes a decent amount of time. Financial aid prompts and additional screenplay to receive scholarships
