Hey guys! I created an Admitted UCLA Students Group of anyone wants to join. I sent out some invites to those of you who markes "admitted" or "attending" on your tracker ;)
Hey guys! Anyone hear also looking for a place to live near UCLA come August/September? I'm not from LA or the US so I'm not exactly sure where are the best places to look for housing. Any tips would be much appreciated and if you're interested in perhaps sharing an apartment, hit me up!
I haven't heard back yet either, but the guy at IIE responsible for my application said e talked to the Admissions office and that we would probably be receiving our official letters by the end of this week. I was getting kinda worried too.
Yeah, sorry! I thought the Stark program was at UCLA lol I meant taking production classes inside UCLA. Though, I think you can probably take Summer Term classes at USC (you just have to pay for them).
During my interview, Phyllis talked about the changes the program is going through and one of was is being able to focus more on television and other formats too. I think you get to choose between TV or feature for your second-year projects or something like that. Also, if you're interested in...
Omg, this makes me so happy! During my interview I asked Phyllis about mentorships and she was like "I don't know what you mean by mentorships". Which was odd, but I was so nervous that I probably didn't express myself like a fully functioning human being.
Not having mentors was the ONLY thing...
Yaaaaaaas, girl!! I've been reading your posts for so long I already consider you a friend hahah our door is always open (except when it's closed but then just, like, ring the doorbell) ?
@j18 when you feel like you've lost hope, remember all the people (and cats) beside you who believe in you and are cheering you on unconditionally. We'll be eating junk food and watching Ru Paul's Drag race on a worn out stained sofa we bought on craigslist in our cheap ass LA apartment in no...
I did but nothing for USC yet. At this point I'm kinda just hoping to get rejected so I don't have to go through the (priviledged) agony of choosing. Before the application process USC was my first choice but now UCLA seems like a better fit for me. What are you guys opinion on UCLA vs USC?
Oh...
I just got a scholarship application form and my acceptance letter (which includes stuff like what classes you'll be taking in the first semester and some financial info). It's only 3 pages long so I'm assuming it's not the welcome packet.
Just got my letter a couple of hours ago! I'm still in shock, trying to sink in all that UCLA goodness <3
Rooting for all those who haven't received a response yet. Hold in there, guys!
Hey y'all! I'm applying to CSUN as well. 4 people in total now, this thread is growing by the minute lol. CSUN is also my safety school and I'll probably be going to AFI (I'm on the Fulbright scholarship so luckily $$ isn't a big factor).
But anyways, I'm still curious to know more about CSUN...
During my interview, Phyllis said decisions should come out somewhere between March 5th and March 15th. So we may still have a few more days of torturous waiting ahead of us haha
Yeah, same here! I used to live in Boston when I was little and took a sitcom writing class last year at BU during their Summer Term. That's pretty much what made me apply. The class was really great and the professor was super encouraging.
