So in retrospect I am extremely grateful for PS that they rejected me. Since December, I have been so busy; I think I have slept only 4 hrs on average since.
If I was accepted I would not have been able to juggle school and MovieSaints together, and there was no way I could have said no to PS...
Congratulations to all who got in - brooklynmoo, BacktoBefore, Acemadman15, skyhi, reginaldfairfield and to your son Canada (PS. You are one cool mom !)
Folks who were waitlisted - J.C. and LaLaLand321, keep tabs with folks at Peter Stark. I believe you have to send them an email every month or...
BacktoBefore: You live in Philly too? We should meet up in CC some time !
4 more days to go!
I think all decisions will be promptly made by Mar 1 (at least that was the case last year).
Two years ago their application page did not state a clear deadline for decisions.
I submitted it twice, better safe than sorry I guess.
I also thought that maybe the first submission is for general graduate admissions and the second one goes to Peter Stark. I am not so sure, but I doubt we will be docked points for duplicate data.
Hey hopscotch,
I don't think it is a good idea to give specific details about the application questions on a public forum (and my weaknesses are the last thing I'd like to announce :D)
That being said, I honestly listed some of my perceived weakness that I struggle with occasionally. These are...
For the first page I simply wrote an essay that alluded to each of those questions and not necessarily in any order. I don't think there is a preferred format.
Just wanted to jump in and say that the candid discussion on this thread is incredible.
This should be required reading for every prospective producer/filmmaker.
Where from in India, I am from Delhi (born in Siliguri, WB). You are flying all the way in for just the interview, that's intense man ! We should catch up when you are here.
There's no dress code for the interview, I asked and they said just whatever you are comfortable in.
This is a very valid point. I have seen some quality student films that I wish could get more viewers. The start up I am creating is aimed at changing this status quo (not sure how viable/successful it can be)
On the other hand, I do believe that a producer needs to have some idea about the...
rainwhole: I think you are making a very mature decision. It shows that you know what you want and that will help you have a clear idea of how to achieve your goals. It does not make sense to invest so much money only to get an education that you don't want. Kudos sir.
DSR: My second interview...
You should try calling them. They interview till Nov 29 (Dec 1 is the application due date)

Mostly interview slots fill up early, but there's no harm in trying. They even do skype interviews.
EchoTango: I sent you my contact details via a private conversation. Should be in your studentfilms inbox. Let me know.
bgardner: Thanks a lot for the offer, I will try to drop by. I sent you a priivate message with my contacts as well.
From my understanding, the second round interview happens after they have short-listed the candidates. They select the final list after the second round of interview. People who are not selected after the second round are generally waitlisted. However, the official word is that the second round...
