    BA and/or MFA in Film?

4 different people with 4 different pieces of advice. There is no right answer to your question, JT.

    BA and/or MFA in Film?

I just want to clarify that when I asked if you thought about skipping college I asked because you don't seem that interested in it. It seems you like film and that is all. So why waste your time forcing yourself to take classes you don't want to take just so you can get a degree most employers...

    BA and/or MFA in Film?

There are a million things you can do. But it depends on what you want to do in the industry. Have you thought about not going to college and start working right away in the industry?

Watch current films from students of many Southern California film schools

This is great festival. I just want to mention that LMU and CalArts are other big omissions.

    Transcript/GPA Review

Congratulations on your acceptance! I called a couple film schools years ago and asked them about this exact problem since my GPA was horrible. They told me that they accept their students based on talent, not grades. If the University rejects an applicant based on GPA but they are talented...

    C. Anna Belly, the interviewers are different and I'm sure the questions are different. Sorry. :( I would definitely prepare for why Columbia and why do you want to be a writer/director.

    Columbia 2014 Applicants

    Chapman Applicants 2013/2014

I love how candid this conversation is! I totally agree with you, Dj, but there is no shame in becoming an assistant. No one wants to be an assistant when they are in film school but it is the fall back plan that everyone falls back on. But there are two types of assistants. One that is waiting...

    Chapman Applicants 2013/2014

I think what he meant is that the Creative Producing degree is broad within the industry. You can be a creative/indie producer (duh), line producer, AD, UPM, agent, etc. A lot of producers from film school go on to these careers because they excel at them and you find that out in film school as...

Yeah, from the looks of it I only need to take Evolution of Narrative Film the first semester.

    Chapman 2013 Housing

I won't be working. If anything I'll look for an internship or work on campus. I've worked for the restaurant industry for a decade and I hope that when I quit in August I will never serve another customer again.
