This was discussed earlier in the thread for NYC, whose submission guidelines are very similar to Asia. Personal statements from those on these forums have ranged from 680 words (me) up to around 2000 words. I called admissions and a girl said it should be 2-pages. I've only been speaking as an NYC filmmaking program applicant thus far. Yes, it appears the deadline for Asia is Jan 1st, so no worries there. If anyone is comfortable, it would be nice to see some of the visual samples anyone else has submitted, if available online.- newmantopia

My thought is that there is no one "most important part" of the application. They're trying assimilate an overall idea of who you are through these elements. Perhaps your 4-minute piece will "wow" them, or rather, just speak to them in a unique way. I would think it's a good idea to make every...- newmantopia

Your work is very interesting... Did you actually film that "train" footage, or is it stock? If you organized that, I'm extremely impressed. Your stuff a pretty timeless but genuine feel to it.
