BARD anyone?
I wouldn't be surprised if the Bard film grad students produce a lot of arty, experimental stuff... but, I would just go up for the interview and try to meet with some of the teachers who you would be studying with. It might be cool to be one of the few students doing narrative work- peaches

BARD anyone?
I went to Bard for undergrad. As I understand it the MFA programs are actually in session during the summertime, right? The undergrad film faculty is pretty cool, I was in the music department but there was some overlap. A lot of professors commute from New York. And, since it's a summer...- peaches

I don't think anyone is expecting NYU Singapore to be the same experience as NYU in New York, however, it does seem reasonable to expect a quality education at the Singapore site in spite of the newness of the program. Links/Advice on Film Portfolio!
duders- what did you submit, if not film? I applied for next fall with a visual portfolio (photos, not slides) of drawings and paintings. I have a background in music and sent a cd, but who knows if they will listen! What kind of other-than-film backgrounds do your classmates have?- peaches
