I also got into North Carolina school of the arts and I accepted their offer for Fall 2023, but also accepted USC"s offer. Did I mess up by accepting both? I haven't sent in any enrollment deposits yet and USC hasn't send me an official acceptance letter, only a waitlist offer.
Do I send in the deposit to the one that accepted me while I wait to hear from back from the waitlist school. The waitlist school is USC and they did they say will give me admission to spring, but I just want to be sure.
So I was waitlisted at the USC MFA program for Fall of 2023 with admission in the Spring of 2024. Even though they are giving me admission for Spring of 2024, is there anything I can do to get off the waitlist for Fall of 2023? Any letters or essays I can write?
Hi Everyone, so I got waitlisted for fall 203 for the MFA production program at USC, but the email says that they will offer Spring 2024 admission if a spot does not open up. I am just wondering if this guaranteed, and if this has happened to anyone else that can confirm? Thanks!
How do I make sure they get it? And can all this be done after the deadline? Because they don't send you your ID until you submit your application, and I submitted mine the day it was due.
Do I need to mail my transcript if I already copied and uploaded it on there website? The deadline passed, but they don't send you your USC ID until a couple days after your submission so I am unsure if I need to also mail them a transcript.
Does anyone know how long the Statement of Purpose is for the film department? UCLA's website says the application says if it is a 500,1000,or 1500 word limit depending on the department, but I haven't "officially" started the application, I'm just working on the writing samples.
What would you guys say is the most important part of the application? The 5 minute short? The personal statement? I ask because I currently don't have the best access to make a great 5 minute short, but I worked really hard on my personal essay, writing samples, and I think I have a decent film...
Awesome thanks! I just want to be prepared before I start the application. Also, do you know if I need physical copies of my letter of recommendations or do I just tell them the reference and email?
Is there a way to see some video sample examples? I know there is a box you can check on the filter section of the applications, but this is the only way?
I don't come from a film school background which is why I don't know many filmmakers. I have been making films by myself, and I wonder if anyone has ever done this for the application?
