    The process went very well. Having to fly to Florida for the interview was a challenge to fit in my schedule but it was very fun and I made friends during the interview.

    I submitted on the last possible day as they gave a 15 day extension on the original deadline. They waived the fee which was nice. Had no contact with anyone until i got the waitlist decision.

    Once I realized I did not get interviewed my expectations fell significantly. However it did take an absurd amount of time to get a response back from them.

    Denied (w/o Interview) UBC Film Production and Creative Writing MFA

    I had to do quite a bit of work with the treatment on top of the regular submission documents. The treatment had to be formatted very specifically with a budget sheet also attached. Did not hear anything up until they sent me their decision.

    I always knew that NYU was going to be a long shot. Even with a letter of rec from an NYU professor. Never heard anything from when i applied till I got my notification.

    Was a smooth process that took a bit longer to get information from than other schools. Had an interview that went very well as we talked very casually about films.

    Admitted (After Interview) Syracuse MFA fall 2026

    Went quite smoothly they communicated well and I had a very short interview which lasted around 6 minutes. They gave me an offer with 50% scholarship.
