It's been good! It could've gone better, as I submitted extremely last-minute. I feel like the work I had submitted wasn't adequate enough or MFA material. Feel free to PM me, or would like to stay in touch!
Just uploaded a general application to Boston University's School of Communications. Was considering Advertising instead of F&T beforehand. It seems though that BU doesn't really have a robust undergraduate film degree since the application didn't require a portfolio either, so take this...
It is very straightforward, just keep in touch with your assigned advisor and you'll be good to go. There are some questions on the SlideRoom application so be sure to be succinct and truthful. If you want additional scholarship, speak to your advisor; I'd read that they schedule an interview...
The application requirements changed between last year and this year, so while I’m bringing the same core concept, I'm using a different approach to align with this year’s criteria. The short film requirement, in particular, had to be completely reimagined due to USC’s updated prompt.
Can you guys please help me? Is there any university that accepts the student in spring intake for MFA in directing or in acting or overall film making which provides certain scholarships
The process was pretty smooth. Notification dates aligned with what the school communicated and what I gathered from the Film School forums. Received my application status/ notification on Day 2, not Day 1.
Was able to visit campus, was a good tour, with decent resources, lower cost tuition, and access to 16mm, they bring in professionals to pitch to as part of the capstone program/project and select a few to make and fund.

It was super easy and straight forward. SCAD has rolling decision so they get back to you pretty quickly. The only issue that I had was my short film was not uploading into SlideRoom so they had to reopen my application for me to find another way to submit it.
Waitlist right now, I guess it’s stressful for everyone, the interview went ok, I wouldn’t say I did amazing, I wouldn’t say it’s bad. I’m hoping I’ll be accepted for the fall semester.
Hello! I am a student transferring from community college to the USC Film and Television program. Is anyone else a transfer student applying to this program? Would love to discuss!

This is my first time applying, and I would love to connect to other folks applying and share in the terror of The Waiting Game.
