PFS trains aspiring filmmakers and actors to become film professionals. This is accomplished through a praxis-heavy curriculum involving each student in up to 30 productions annually, many of which end up in the Industry's top film festivals.

The film emphasis is available only on the university’s Gulf Park campus. Students who pursue the degree can spend two years in Hattiesburg and complete their film courses in two years on the Gulf Coast.
