Thanks for sharing this experience- I was also waitlisted and can SERIOUSLY relate to your interview. Not sure it would be a good fit for me either.
I come from a theatre/playwriting background where there's a somewhat greater emphasis on process and theory. From jump I was made to feel stupid...
I feel you on this. I, too, had some serious folks vet my stuff. Worked on this app for months.
I'd also be down to post my materials for exchange/feedback, if others are.
Speaking for myself, I'd use it!
Maybe consider limiting the playwriting programs you include to ones that also have a significant screenwriting component? Just to help keep things relevant to the original intent of your (very useful) site? For example, Brown's playwriting MFA, as far as I...
Yeah, I think it's wise to expand. A lot of playwriting programs also have a significant screenwriting component, since it seems that cross-pollination is becoming so much more common in both industries these days.

US looks something like this:
LINDA
Willy? Willy is that you?
WILLY
It's alright, I came back.
UK looks something like this:
LINDA. Willy? Willy is that you...
Does anyone know how set in stone the "concentration" thing is? Let's say I choose 'playwriting' on the application and submit a full length play. If I were admitted, could I change that at any point? Does it dictate the curriculum in a significant way? Maybe I'm just missing this on the website...
@marianass45 I had this problem too. I submitted my Slideroom stuff first and then couldn't submit the main app. Try logging out of everything and then logging back in. If that doesn't work, make sure you check all the tabs on the Slideroom app. You might have to manually reenter your Slideroom...
Hi folks! First time applicant. I submitted my USC Screenwriting app at the end of October. I'm also applying to AFI and a handful of playwriting/dramatic writing schools (including NYU).
I found the series of small assignments a really welcome change from a single manuscript meant to totally...
