    Attending (Admitted w/o Interview) Art Center - MFA - Film

    Nothing complicated. The intent word limit was short, so I struggled to distill my 3 page intent into 400 words. They did want a film with sync sound and dialogues. My film has sync sound but no dialogue, so I had to use a chopped scene with dialogue into the narrative to meet that requirement.

    Waitlisted (After Interview) Screenwriting/Directing - Columbia MFA

    Statement was a bit stressful but the portfolio requirements were pretty straight forward. Really enjoyed the 10 page screenplay where I wrote a short story about faith and music.

    Denied (After Interview) AFI - Directing

    The application itself was easy. Unlike other schools, AFI's essays pertain to the films I made, which is pretty convenient. I had to make a short film about "Secret" which I did 2 days before the submission. It was a fun experience.

    Admitted but Not Attending (After Interview) MFA Film - NYU

    Statement was a bit stressful but the portfolio requirements were pretty straight forward. Best part of the application was the dramatic story exercise, where I had to write a story about doubt set during eclipse that involves mirror, trumpet and a cluster of grapes.
