Hi! I'm applying for the MA in screenwriting at LFS next week and there doesn't seem to be a thread for this course yet so I thought I'd make one in advance of the application deadline!
Process was good. I loved the interviewers. The department chair called me in the afternoon to let me know I had gotten in and then my letter and fin aid was available the following day
It's been slightly weird. I don't feel like the interviewer was very interested in me or my work. I also haven't heard from actual Feirstein people yet. I only got a generic Brooklyn College granulations email.
I enjoyed the application process, especially the creative challenge scenes, but I wish there were an interview component for the screenwriting concentration.
Application was straightforward and I enjoyed writing for the prompt, although the page limit was quite short. Excited to learn more about this new writing concentration accelerated program.
The application went well! It was interesting to apply to a Cinematography program without providing any visual supplements. It was all writing samples with the most narrative being an essay on Cinematography as Storytelling. The others were writing samples of personal/purpose statements.

Applying to film school is exhausting and a lot to manage with school, activities, classes, college applications, portals, and creative supplements. However, as you go through the process you learn more about yourself and feel like each application gets better. Yes, I wish I would have started...
After completing the initial "ApplyTexas" application, which is a pre-requisite to applying to any Texas university, the UT application wasn't really too bad at all! They required three letters of recommendation (most other schools I applied to only needed two), a writing sample, a statement of...
