My first time applying. The application process was relatively easy (probably because I have applied last year for a different program), I prepared my papers over a month. The interview was a bit nerve-wracking, they were hard to read and kept switching between good and bad cop.
Application was fun and interesting! This was unique in that the writing samples were both prompted. They had us write a dramatic story in PROSE, something I had never done before. It was an interesting exercise. I then adapted that prose story into a short script that I used for my Columbia app.

I thought this was one of the better applications. I liked that I could subnit an entire writing sample, versus just a portion of one. The statement of purpose was also very straightforward. Overall, a simple process.

Unlike other schools, NYU Tisch requires a portfolio sample to be submitted first. I submitted all my materials and am currently waiting for an interview notice.
Application process was pretty straightforward. They asked for a half-hour or hour-long pilot, or a full length feature as creative portfolio, a statement of purpose and a creative resume with a list of published/produced work.
