Thank you for the good luck, I will accept it! No, not grad school. I am applying for Directing and Cinematography at Cal State Long Beach Undergraduate transfer. A portfolio is required and we do not hear until April.
I have met some well qualified individuals who did not get into the Directing or Cinematography option, so it is difficult to say what will happen. I do not have the stats as far as qualified applicants with high gpa that do or do not get in. I believe it is largely based on your ability to visually tell a story with the 2 minute film submission. However, if you are applying to the MFA and have a script you are developing, it would be fun to have the directors and writers get to know each other.
