SAT 31? Typo?

Congrats on being accepted though! That's awesome.

Thanks! It’s my son’s app. He’s not on this forum.

He also got into University of Michigan LSA as a FTVM major. They don’t have one of the more popular film programs, but the screenwriting submajor seems we’ll spoken of. I was hoping to find more information about UofM’s undergraduate film program here.

Sounds good. Be sure to add the application submission dates and decision dates if you have that information.

@romns16 Hi! I am an incoming high school senior, applying to RTF this fall. Can you post what Extracurriculars he had? Thanks!

He had 350+ hours of community service (non-film related), which included handywork/yard work for single mothers and widows. Interned with a small video production company that specialized in weddings.

But in our opinion, the two most helpful things were:
1. Creative resume. Follow the USC SCA format. List film festivals, laurels, volunteer hours at local festival, singing/acting/dancing/instrument performances (art show and talent show awards)
2. UT Summer Film Camp. He took the Adv Narrative Filmmaking program which allowed him to work with RTF grad students and faculty. Highly suggest attending if RTF is first choice. Screenwriting camp is also popular.

That makes sense. Also, was the 4.0 unweighted or weighted? If unweighted - did he take honors/AP classes? Sorry in advance for all the questions, it's just that UT Austin is my #1 school and I'm really anxious :(
