Statement was a bit stressful but the portfolio requirements were pretty straight forward. Really enjoyed the 10 page screenplay where I wrote a short story about faith and music.
I'm from engineering background but I've made couple short films. Have a bunch of short screenplays that I plan to shoot this year, and screenplay for features and their resp. pilots that I'll be writing. Lots of looking ahead lol.

The application itself was easy. Unlike other schools, AFI's essays pertain to the films I made, which is pretty convenient.
I had to make a short film about "Secret" which I did 2 days before the submission. It was a fun experience.

Best part of the application was the dramatic story exercise, where I had to write a story about doubt set during eclipse that involves mirror, trumpet and a cluster of grapes.
Zeno definitely helped my profile to get it atleast 5 times better than what it was. Once we setup expectations, Zeno was really flexible in accomodating to my process. I applied for AFI, NYU and Art center. Would definitely recommend consulting with Zeno.
