That was ok... The interview went pretty smoothly, but I was so tired that day I almost didn't make it. They said it is going to be small program and they showed us some films
I didn't realize USC was going to submit a video under 5 minutes so I edited one of my short films and made it into a new version. But unfortunately it doesn't look good
Third acceptance so far for Film & TV Production! Initially deferred from EA. Portal updated at 3pm, email came at 3:35pm. Scholarship/financial aid info to come.
First time applying. SCA has been my dream school since I was about 12.
Shot my video on August and submitted everything on November.
The interview went very well, yet I was a little nervous.
The writing sample I chose to do was the dialogue scene, I shot and edited a new short film for this project. The process was pretty straight forward and fun to fill out, if a little stress inducing. I was a little late starting on the application, but was able to sink a few hours a day into it...
I've extensively searched for schools offering MFA Programs in Film/Directing/Producing/Screenwriting that are rolling admissions for Spring intake.
I didn't seem to find much. I know USC offers spring admission. I'm not sure if AFI does because as I try to access their portal it doesn't show...

Great. I've enhanced my personal style in all my materials. But maybe I've made some mistakes in my ps and that's why the professor didn't want to interview with me... who knows...
Whew, definitely got application burnout (if that's even a thing lol) so though I had planned on having this done a while ago, a day before the deadline will have to do. This was a fairly straightforward application.
Again, another super difficult application ( I also applied to UCLA).... It took me a long time to write all the documents, and one of the reasons that made me most anxious was the fact that on the two submission platforms everything would have to match in order not to be disqualified... Being...
Hey everyone! I'm currently in the process of applying to USC SCA film/tv production as a senior in high school. If anyone has any tips or doesn't mind sharing their work that got them into the program as well, it'd be greatly appreciated! I'd also love to reach out to any seniors applying this...
It was a little strenuous, but I was more prepared this time around. I took more time to make my video sample. I worked more on my cinematic statement than I had before. I wish I had more time to work on my dialogue piece, but it was better than my last one. I had stronger references this time...
I had been accepted for MS in Television at Boston University, but now I have been pulled off the waitlist from LMU. I have always had a film background, but since I have not explored Television, I am open to the idea of exploring the industry. Switching back to film seems hard after pursuing MS...
Especially with COVID and just not having many friends in general, I’m kind of limited on actors. Can I be featured in it? Is that allowed for me to still produce and direct it but also be a lead actor? There’s only like 2-3 actors that occur in the film.
