    NFTS Screenwriting MFA 2027

Hey guys, I’m applying for screenwriting Master’s programmes for 2026/2027 - and NFTS is the one I’m desperate to get into. Anyone else looking to apply, and does anyone have any tips, or an idea of the timeline? I’ve got an interview at LCC on Monday, which I’m very happy about because it’s my...

Denied (w/o Interview) USC MFA Writing for Screen & Television

Pretty straightforward application. USC has pretty lame admin though, slightly disorganised and take ages to reply to emails. Other than that, I enjoyed the application

Stony Brook University / Killer Film's MFA program- A screenwriter's perspective

Alternate title: Will I drop out of film school? I’m nine weeks into my first year at Stony Brook’s MFA in Film program. I’m taking 5 classes (2 writing, one directing, one “film tools”, one masterclass with Christine Vachon) as well as an internship doing coverage for Flynn Picture Co...

Chapman or Calarts? Both MFA directing

Hi I need some help deciding which program should I go to. is there any student/alumni sharing some production experiences? For Calarts, is it hard to get a job in the film industry? It seems to me that Calarts is relatively not connected to the industry. For Chapman, how is the community like...

I didn't see a thread for this yet and I know a few of us who applied to TV Writing were chatting in the production thread so I figured I'd start one for us to discuss interviews and acceptances. I just got my email notification for an interview today (Feb 10), I scheduled the interview for...

Admitted but Not Attending (w/o Interview) Emerson - Writing for Film and Television

The application was simple, I applied for the priority deadline so I'd have the best shot at getting as much funding as possible. The essay requirements and the writing sample weren't strenuous at all, I was able to use the same sample I'd used in another application. The thing I most...

How to prepare to apply for USC MFA producing?

I graduated with my bachelors in engineering because of family and societal pressure; now that I have an engineering job I have taken the time to realize I have to prioritize passion over profit. Wondering what steps are needed to properly prepare myself for this next step in pursuing a MFA degree.

Stonybrook MFA in TV Writing Question

Does anyone know about Stonybrook's MFA in TV Writing program? Just, generally speaking...? More specifically, to what degree do the women at Killer Films participate in the writers' educations and career advancement? There are reviews on this site, but, to be blunt, they read like they were...
