I submitted the application, uploaded all the required materials online and mailed the official transcript on November 1, 2022.
I haven’t receive an interview notification so far.
In general, it's pretty ok. If you planned, you can do it all! don't worry. But for my, speaking as someone with anxiety, it's being pretty stressful. I worry if what I did is not good enough and I spend the whole day checking my email to see if I get a interview.
So far, I have only received interview from AFI producing program, The interview went very well! I haven't received the interview from USC ( film production--producer ) yet......😭 . But I've heard of any cases where they were admitted without interview! But I'm international student( China), I...
The instructions were simple and I thought my application was solid overall but I knew my chances of getting in were slim given AFI's fierce competition. Fuck it tho I was happy to have prepared everything and have submitted the application on time...although I have not receive an interview...
The application materials were clearly laid out. The Vision Statement piece of the application was interesting as it allowed a bit more room for context around why I chose a particular story (where other applications are looking for more concise, to the point concepts). Interview notification...
The application process was quite long since there are several requirements, I enjoyed it for the most part but it takes weeks/months to prepare if you want to submit a very solid application. Just a heads up!
It's been a very smooth application experience. Except for the usual application materials, I also submitted a questionnaire requested by the school. The interview was very impressive. I felt the passion of the interviewer and how interactive and diverse the program is.
Hi guys!
This is my second year applying to the Chapman Producing program and getting a waitlist again, feeling frustrated😭.
I want to ask how many of you have got waitlisted from Chapman? Especially for the producing program.
Since I am an alumni, I wasn’t worried. During the interview they asked me about why I wished to return when I could go anywhere else. I told them about Chapman’s strengths and how it is the most versatile of all film schools I’ve applied to because of the resources available to the students...
It went smoothly. I enjoyed figuring out my own goals during the process and I like how columbia asks for a lot of different material to understand the storyteller in you.
The process for the Stark program is a little different as they have a total of eight questions that need to be answered rather than a personal statement or any writing samples/visual submissions. It was a little challenging trying to make all answers work together to tell my story, but...
I loved the AFI application process - specifically the Vision Statement exercise. I also found all of the admission information sessions really helpful, with all the staff really friendly and welcoming. The interview process was also smooth - they made me feel very at ease straight away.
The interview went very quickly (about 19 minutes) so I keep thinking that if my interviewer doesn't like me lol He asked me some questions about my work and my favorite movies. I don't think I answered well... Kind of nervous for my first interview.
AFI is definitely my most wanted school. Have no time to apply to it last year so I cherish this chance a lot this year. Already finished my interview. Waiting for the result in anxiety now...

My application turned out pretty amazing in the end. I learned a lot from completing my application to LMU. The story that I came up with from the writing prompt was much better than I could have ever imagined it would be. One thing that I did not like about Chapman is that the writing prompt...
It was interesting, however as an international student they did not make it easy for me to send documents that are not the norm to send in my country. They also never reply to calls and I had issues with them receiving my test scores.
First time MFA applicant. Just received my interview notification today, surprised it came before UCLA given that that application was due a month earlier than Columbia's. Fingers crossed on the interview.
Hi all! I've been checking this site for some time (has been such a help!) but I have never seen anyone speak about Depaul's MFA in Creative Producing. Does anyone have any knowledge of the program? I applied because the new location in LA is intriguing to me but I have found it difficult to...
