Even with financial aid, getting your MFA in film might be too costly. Many of the world's most prestigious film schools charge tens of thousands in tuition annually, aside from housing, food, and transportation expenses in filmmaking hubs with a high cost of living.
However, not all graduate...
Submitted by deadline, with all required materials. The process/application is very thorough, and a lot of work to put together. The film essay, in particular, took many hours (+ research) as I did not have one from undergrad studies.
Lots of written materials, especially since I didn't have an undergrad writing sample to include. But the application process was a rewarding experience of reflection.
I felt a little more at ease with this application than USC's. The slideroom upload gave me a bit of trouble but all in all I felt really good about the application process.
