Boston University vs University of Miami

hi im trying to decide between BU and Miami. im looking at every college review book, calling and emailing the schools, and pretty much doing everything i can to make my decision but i would really appreciate it if i could get the input of people who have been there, are going there, or know enough about both of the schools to give me decent advice

hey, i just found your post and it provoked me to make my first. I was accepted graduate (MFA) to BU and Miami but there is clearly no love to either of these schools here. I'm still waiting to hear from a couple of the 'loved' schools on this board but i would appreciate your feeling on BU and Miami since I am considering them.

i dont know much about university of miami just because I've never considered going to school in Florida, BUt BU is a pretty good school

They're campus is great, however one thing that turns alot of people away from boston is that they have alot of gen ed classes and you don't really get to take film classes or even touch much equipment until atleast your second year and I think usually later than that.

But BU is a great school, I;m not sure how it stands up to EMerson though

well i just visited both schools and, i have to say, miami is absolutely unbelievable. sure i am a fan of the green space but the big difference between the 2 is miamis film is goin up while bus is goin down. theyre replacing all the equipment and theres talk of a satalite campus in la. to actually make ur decision, however, it is imperative that u VISIT. wen you do, it becomes pretty clear
