@googoomuck Don't worry about the transcripts. If you send em an unofficial copy and they, for some reason, don't find your original but want you otherwise - it won't come crumbling down due to them not having an original in their hands right now.
Letter-writers are a tough deal. I was fortunate to get them early on, almost immediately after asking. But I did stress that it was very urgent - almost life or death
Maybe call him up and ask what gives? Maybe if he is super busy tell him you can give him some pointers on what you think would be traits you want him to focus on. So that it is as easy as possible for him. I even know of people who have written their own recom letters after changing jobs and just getting a signature from their boss because they were too busy to write anything themselves.
