NYU MFA – Film and Television – Fall 2026

but I'm afraid it's a possibility as there were years where all invites went out within just a couple of days. Of course, that's only based on the database we have here...
Check the old threads as well. Mountains of info and insight there.

Thanks Chris! Looking at the old threads, there are some rare occasions where there've been more invites sent out like 10 days after the first batch (which I think is because they used to send invites for the dual degree applicants first back then) but last year the last person on the thread to get one was on Feb 10th.

Yeah, today probably would’ve been the day if there was a wave 2 for interviews to be sent out.

I've gotten four views each on my visual submissions (the video self portrait and the short film) back in December (which I think was just them checking if all the applications are complete because the watch duration was like 30 seconds haha) and I've finally gotten one more views for both my visual submissions this Monday! This time it seems like they've watched the whole thing. Although some have said that the viewer stats are unreliable it's just good to know that they're actually going through every submissions ;D Fingers crossed!
How do you see if they have viewed your uploads on slideroom?

How'd the interview go?
It was pretty intense. A lot of rapid fire questions by the faculty, so I had to really be on my toes. I can typically gauge how an interaction went in an interview, but this time I really can’t call it! lol. After the interview, one of the students gave me a tour and I got to meet a few people and everyone was cool tbh. And now we wait lol

i found this forum a little late but helloooo i got my interview notification on Feb 4th and had it on the 25th, it went really well and was very positive! they said they loved my work and i made them laugh a couple of times. i will say that at the beginning they congratulated me on getting this far, mentioning that this was one of their final rounds and it was really hard to get to that point. i think i got in but you really never know, best of luck to everyone!!
