Anyone going to VFS?

My roommate and are both attending VFS in fall of 2005. Anyone else attending or going to the school already?
How creativly intense is it?

Well not quite yet..... I am just compiling info on it. I have however read a couple of pretty bad reviews for VFS, along the lines of big waste of money and lack of relevant teaching. It is a very expensive course and for that type of money you could set up a DV studio for yourself!!!.... I did look through this forum but not too much on VFS to read about....if any of you have more information, it would be greatfully appreciated.

I've read some bad reviews as with some very good reviews. Also some good reviews from past teachers whom no longer go there. The bad reviews sounds as if students believed they'd be famous coming out of there. In my mind its a mixture of these that gets you noticed. Talent, passion, and hard work. If you lack one or the other, things wont work out as well.
True the school is $$$$. It's all worth it, IF im getting what I'm paying for. Hence why I'm trying to find past students who have actually finished from VFS, not droped out.

my friend finished VFS and, like any other film school, it has pros and cons. He said there are way to many politics going on within the film department. Also, there are way too many people who want to direct. So he says EVERYONE always barges the director with their own ideas (which is very annoying I might add) But he says it's a very creative environment. If you don't know anything about film or can't think critically, you'll be an outcast.
I'm currently in university taking film, I love it. I got to use a 16mm the 2nd week I came.

Thats really great.. I'm going two years at VFS, my first year will be digital production and my second will be film production. EVERYONE in a way wants to be a director lol... I think that in the end happens everywhere. Just a minor irritation I can deal with.
