filmconnection vs NYFA

Hi every body! I'm new in this site.
while searching for film school, I came across filmconnection film school.It sounded very interesting to me.Anyone has any opinion about this school.
I"m thinking of joining 4 week program from NYFA.
I'll be very obliged if someone tells me how much this will help me in getting internship in decent production company.

Im not sure what Jayimess is talking about...

No offense, but even if you're not spam, acting like a five year old isn't a great advertising technique unless you are one, and even then you still have to have looks going for you, but the whole creepy elongated neck thing is just weird.

Oh, and creating two seperate accounts to try and trick people into "going" to your school is also pretty lame (capitalizing COLLEGE PARK, MD kind makes you stick out, among other things)

do you think one month course from NYFA can help me get a good internship??
If anyone can give me some good advice regarding good film school short term courses.
As I dont know much about this film world.
I came very recently from India, with banking background.

What is it that you want to do in the film industry? That would help people better answer your question. Though in general I don't think NYFA will help you get an internship. It will give you a very rudimentary understanding of the filmmaking process though, which might be something you want/need.

well, i want to be a filmmaker but initially i want to do some internship to get experiences and contacts.

There's no one way to go about these things. If you're interested in production, get a job as an unpaid PA on film shoots. The mayor's office puts out a list of everything filming in NY. These are actually sometimes hard to get. You could also apply for intern positions at production companies, though many of them only allow you to intern if you're doing it for school credit (to get out of not paying you). Of course the easiest thing to do is lend a helping hand on student film shoots. You'll meet lots of young filmmakers with similar interests and get immediate hands-on experience. I've found its more important to make contacts with people your own age and experience level, as these are the people who can really help you out as you move forward with your career. Making photocopies for Focus Features won't bring you any closer to being a filmmaker. But meeting people who can actually work on your films, show you the ropes in a hands on way, etc. can be valuable.

Even now? It's one of the best options I have. It is a real school? I have my doubts because it seems too good to be true!
