Hi, I'm in the proccess of deciding where to attend college for next year. I got into SCAD and Pratt but from what I heard SCAD has a high crime rate and Pratt's film program isn't any good. So right now I am deciding between Seton Hall University, Drew University, and Montclair State University and I'm on the waiting list for Emerson College for writing. For MSU I'm under undeclared but I can set up an interview to enter their film program anytime.
My questions:
1. Which school should I attend if I would like to transfer to NYU Tisch after 1 year?
-MSU is weak but has a film program, Seton Hall and Drew are better schools though
2. Do I have a better chance getting into Tisch if I transfer from Emerson (writing major) than SHU (undecided) or Drew (liberal arts) or do I have the same chances?
3. Anyone transfer after a yr at school to Tisch? How hard is it and what are your grades?
I know this is a lot but I need answers soon! I have to hand in my deposit MAY 1ST! I feel like I have no future Idk what I'll do if I don't get into Tisch and Emerson doesn't have internal transfer for film.
