Thanks for the advice. I know I can get a good education outside CA, but I'm thinking more in terms of establishing myself somewhere, like Baloo said. Thanks for telling me about csun, I will definitely look into it. Did you need a portfolio to enter the program? If so, I don't really have anything I could submit.

well, you do need to submit a portfolio, but not of work that youve already done. basically what it is: they have a short answer part, an essay part and then they have a photo submission part, where you submit 12 photos that tell a story- and then a 3 liner about the story. most respected film schools dont ask for video submissions. those are usually the trade schools. anyway, you turn in your transcript along with all that and then they get back to you.
