2017 - MFA Applicants (1 Viewer)

i didn't any interview notifications too... but I saw in the google tracking sheet there were already some people getting the interview in the end of January..

Hey everyone, my friend who was admitted 2 years ago was notified of an interview in late January, however people were also contacted through mid February. My question is, do you have to interview to be admitted? I assumed so, however another applicant recently told me that's not the case. I applied for production for Fall 2017.

Well based on what someone said, the columbia interview invitations are done for this year. Based on the google tracker for the previous years, everyone who was interviewed was admitted or waitlisted.

And someone said that NYU will send out interview invitations this week and next week

Thank you for the response and information! I'm new to this community but it seems very helpful

Still waiting to hear from dramatic writing.... I have an interview for musical theatre writing on March 10th

I actually don't write songs. I would be accepted into the program as a Bookwriter/Lyricists. Throughout the program you get paired up with other students who write music!

Hi everyone!

I'm new here and I wanted to start a new forum specifically for NYU Tisch Graduate Film applicants. I'm not sure if I don't have the privileges yet, or I just can't navigate the site right. But I'll go ahead and ask here:

Does anyone know what the ETA is for interviews? I called the admissions office yesterday and they mentioned that they started calling for interviews this week, but the Google Sheets we've been using for applications shows they've started earlier. Did any of you guys get interviews from NYU yet?

I've created an NYU grad film thread here with all the information we have so far.

To clear things up for anyone stressing about USC and their interviews, here is an email I received from after I inquired about the importance of an interview. Their response:

Hello Brandon,

We do not offer any formal interviews. If a committee member has any questions about your application, they may call you for an informal interview. However, a lack of an over the phone interview does not mean lack of acceptance.

Best,

SCA

Anyone heard yet from NYU for dramatic writing?

Just jumping in here real quick, has anyone heard anything from Chapman? I haven't seen much talk about it on the forum and at this point I'm hoping no news is good news.

I applied to their MBA/MFA. I had an interview with the MBA folks last month, I asked if Dodge did any interviews as well, apparently they don't...

Seems like they haven't started the interview process yet according to the tracking sheet

Interesting. If true, that definitely seems to be a change for them this year - according to the tracking sheet anyway. How'd your MBA interview go, though?

That's what I'm hoping. It's my number one and they've gone all quiet on the western front on me. This anxiety... is something fierce.

Hello :)
This rejection letter went crazy on twitter a couple of years ago, but incase any of you need a smile while awaiting outcomes and you hadn't seen it before.... enjoy. x
