Dude, I think about this everyday...I mean I'm not dwelling on it (in undergrad: I was a made a possible alternate aka rejected), but everyday I can't help but re-answer the questions to myself. I can't help but re-do the entire interview in my mind... it's like now I know what to say, then I...
I know this is a grad school thread, but I did the undergrad FSU interview and it was mildly traumatic, I mean I've done interviews before but the environment they put you in was such a pressure cooker.
I mean everything from the set up the room (did everybody else get the whole single chair...
I agree it was not even a movie to be honest.. because of the fact it was about nothing... it seemed like we were watching some guy do stuff. It felt like a mundane music video with no point.
Although, you did have some interesting shot compositions... so next time just try to bring a story...
FSU, liberal arts major
(How did I get so screwed over by the film school? To add insult to injury, a little idiot- okay, little slacker in my class got into the film school, he directs awful stuff. I mean no plot what so ever, "okay you jump off that ramp, now" stuff. But then again he does...
I agree with you because my story was pretty cool if I may say so myself. In fact, I think it's a mistake that some film programs don't require excercises like that... there's a big diff between non fiction and fiction writing.
I hear ya! I got into this one school but not their film program *totally considering change production name to **** film school* and the wanked on me with "you can change your major to film school. It's like bro if I wanted to read about somebody else's film I'd go on imdb.
**still waiting for...
If you didn't get an interview or rather a call for an interview, the letter telling you you're not getting an interview is on it's way. I just got mine.If Chapman doesn't want me then it's off to UCF I go... hear it doesn't suck.
i wanna get in, but if you didn't get a request for an interview... you're not going to,according to this e-mail:
"The application process is complete and those applicants who will be interviewed were called
to set up an appointment. All other applicants will be notified by mail that they...
I'm a girl who will soon be a film student, where I don't know. But, in my class very few people are actually taking moviemaking seriously so I can't really talk about proportions in the industry.
But with other events I've gone to meeting/film festivals the majority of the directors were guys...
Laudy, I totally agree with you...the music drove me nuts, some the scenes were slow as hell but were given gladiator music.
I also feel, the weird montage, replay, when they are standing at the front of the school was uber unnecessary, we just saw it happen in what was practically slow...
Yeah, I don't see it either... it actually looks like all their deadline stuff was for people who already applied last year. I sent them an e-mail, so I let you know if I have a breakthrough.
