Accepted? Or just an error

Hey guys. I’m currently on the waitlist for USC’s production program. Couple days ago I got this email from the school and the starting of “ congratulations on your acceptance” got me thinking that I was admitted. But after a couple days of waiting and checking the status, I haven’t got anything official with my name on it saying that I’m being accepted.
And now I’m a little nervous since I don’t see any discussion online about this situation. Just want to check with the community before I write an email to the school to make sure what’s going on. Does this mean I’m actually accepted? Or is it a mistake? Or a scam even worse?

I think it might be because all waitlists to USC production program are guaurenteed spring admits? Call USC on Monday if you have questions.

Hey, I think we had talked about this in the USC thread last week. It’s just a mass email that was sent out. I got the same one but I’m almost certain it was just a email to push their InMotion Magazine. Like I mentioned in the other thread, I’m also pretty sure Fall waitlist/admits are on the same mass email chain because fall waitlist folks and technically Spring admits.

If you’re still uncertain, you can call on Monday like Chris mentioned but I’d bet good money it isn’t the official acceptance.

Yes we did, hearing you received the same email assured me haha. I was worried if it was a scam.
