Hey guys - Directing applicant here. I've been one of those people who reads the forum (practically daily at this point) and gets excited by an update, YET never posts myself lol. But today's the day! So I thought now or never. I want to wish everyone good luck. So, so nervous. Anticipation. Dread. It's a lot. I'm comforted to know some of yall might be reading this and feeling the same. Here we go

Hey Duke! Glad to make your acquaintance. I lurked on this site for probably a couple months before my first time posting. And I'm definitely with you on the nervousness. Will I get in?? Can I find a way to afford it if I do??? I'm lock step with you lol. I'd rather just sleep and wake up much closer to when the emails come out but, unfortunately, I have a client edit I have to finish by 9 AM. Anyway, good luck!! I hope we both end up on campus in Fall 2026!

EDIT - And maaaaaaaaan has this wait felt like it's taken foreveeeeeeeeeeeer.

For those who are waitlisted or denied know this: stick with it. Last year, I didn’t get a single interview. I worked hard and changed my process - and this year I got interviews at four schools and accepted to two (so far).
