Concerned About the Wildfire Situation in Los Angeles as an International Film School Applicant

Hi everyone,

I’m an international applicant, and I’ve applied to three film schools in Los Angeles. I’m really worried about the wildfire situation there—it’s terrifying to think that such disasters could affect the schools I’m applying to.

To be honest, I’m not fully informed about the current situation, and I’m scared that these schools might be at risk too. What are your thoughts on this? Should I start considering backup options in other cities or even in different countries just in case?

I’d love to hear from others who are familiar with the area or going through the same application process.

I don't believe any of the major film schools are anywhere close to the fires. But the damage is devastating. One of my daughter's old classmates lost their house.
