Florida State University 2011

To those wondering about the alternate list--Last year I interviewed with FSU for Production and was put on the alternate list, and was never officially rejected. There were a lot of people last year on the list, and it appears the same is true for this year. I interviewed again and was put on the alternate list. What I can tell you is that after mid-April if you don't receive an invitation to the program, your chances of getting in are drastically reduced. The students who are accepted now have a few weeks to decide, and if a handful of students go elsewhere, they will do a second round of invitations right away. So if May rolls around and you haven't heard anything, don't hold your breath because FSU will never officially reject you. It's best to start working on your app for next year. Good luck to all you other alternates!

I'm guess the 15th of April is the accept or decline date for the people accepted. So all of us on the wait list should have a pretty good idea if we are going on that date. I wonder how many of us are wait listed, any one ask yet?

I mean how many alternates could there really be? 24 people are let in, would there really be more then 24 alternates?

Is anyone beside wonderpony, not accepting the alternate list?

At first I didn't feel like there could be over 12 alternates but now with half the forum being alternates I just don't now.

I wonder what the average number of alternates let in every year is.

Hi Everyone,

Haven't been here for a while. Have been accepted to FSU and Chapman. Could use some input on which one to accept. Actually, I already accepted FSU because of the deadline I was given of April 14th, but I heard just today that I was accepted to Chapman. Conundrum! Would appreciate any input comparing the schools.
