NFTS Jan 2017 entry

hi All

A little late to this forum - apologies. Anybody applied for the MA cinematography 2017 intake and received an email yet?

Does it make sense for me to split up the NTFS entry into the Film School Reviews section into different schools for each concentration of study? (Directing Fiction, Cinematography, Producing, etc...)

National Film and Television School

I separated it out for the different USC programs and the like for example.

It would do but I seem to be the only one in this thread who's applied for cinematography!

Getting worried as either the cinematography applications have been processed or are being processed and my rejection email/letter is on the way!

Hi Aron,

I also applied to the MA in Cinematography and I'm also waiting for them to say something. I guess we still have to wait one more week.

Hi Chris,

No, let's keep it as it is please :) It's really interesting to see where all the different courses are at currently. And if we get onto the workshop stage, we're all gonna meet each other anyway :)

Sorry I didn't mean splitting this thread.... I meant the individual film shool pages in the site's film school review system.

Currently the film school entry for NTFS entry is here:

National Film and Television School

Currently it combines all degrees into one listing... separating it would allow me to add more info about each degree and let people know for which program they are receiving or reading reviews for.

Hello everybody! I'm new here. Just got an invitation for an interview in Directing Fiction.

Anybody has had previous experiences of interviews for this section by any chance? Would love to hear more about your experiences, about the 15mins test and about what comes after the interview stage... :)
Many thanks, all the best of luck to everybody!

Raph

Congratulations, Raph!

I applied to the MA Directing Fiction 2017 course too but still haven't heard back from them.

Starting to get anxious now. :(

Hey Rafael,
Thanks for your congrats. I received an invitation on the 22nd. Like everybody else I don't know much more about how they work unfortunately, but they have a lot of applicants to go through so there is still hope! :)

Thank you for the kind words, Raph. Best of luck to you with the interview. Went through your reel on Vimeo - i'm a fan!

How'd it go? :)

I think it went alright; it was very casual and quick (~10-15 minutes). I was in front of three interviewers whom asked questions about my background, cinematic influences, current work and other interests . I was asked what I expect to get out of this course and what I plan to do after. We never really discussed anything from my application submission.

I will know if I am through to the three-day workshop by July 29.
