NYFA High School Camps

I was roaming around some sites today, and happened to land on something pretty freakin' sweet. I read about those 4 or 6 week high school camps you can take at NYFA over the summer and they looked great. At the Universal Studios location they give you permission to shoot on most of the sets there. (i.e. such as a 30's style New Yorkan street, a western set, etc.) Have any of you ever gone there, and if so, how was it? Worth going, or worth spending all that cash?

I did the four week films at universal last summer, and thought it was great. YOu do get to use the sets, but they assign them to you, you don't just choose any set. This camp is also pricey, and it could be a little cheaper. But on the other hand, the camp has great cameras, G4 computers with flat screens, great teachers, sets, props. YOu also learn a lot about film in this camp, and have the chance to do 3 movies. Because of how much you learn and all the great resources you have available to you when your there, I would reccomend it to anyone interested in film.

NYFA has a great program, but remember apartment rent across the street is 1400 dollars for a studio. You can't get any other apartment without signing a year lease. Make sure you are willing to spend the extra money :)

I am doing NYFA this summer in London. I have spoken to various directors of the program, and everything you read on their site is true! If you can, enroll in NYFA!
