NYU MFA – Film and Television – Fall 2026

Do you think most people would be interviewing in person? I have a trip planned out of country at the end of February but I’m waiting to confirm it based on interviews. I’m just wondering if I should go ahead and if I get a slot during that time join via zoom. I’m just unsure if that’s a major disadvantage.

i haven’t received an invite, but if i do i would be interviewing via Zoom

Got an interview request. I live in Chicago, so I'm debating whether to do a in-person or virtual interview. Any opinions on that, or stats?
I feel like in-person would definitely be less awkward! But if you are like me and feel more comfortable and less nervous being at home, maybe virtual would suit you better. Would you mind me asking what time you got the email at? I'm wondering if they just send it in batches or they actually send it out one by one );

Guys, do you think there will be one more invitation going out soon? I was looking at older threads, and it seems like NYU sent out one or two rounds of invitations in early Feb in past years. Usually, the posts blow up when invitations go out, but it’s been quite quiet this time. Any thoughts?

There will definitely be more invites sent out. I think all schools send invites out in waves and last year it went until the end of February.
