I'm a rising Senior Film and TV Major at BU. I have a 3.6 GPA, have made the Dean's List every semester of school, and have interned at 2 Casting Agency's. I don't have a large body of produced work besides having cast and co-written a live reading of an original series written in conjunction with Stephen King. I have a working relationship with a former USC Professor/Student who has steered me toward USC, but I know that program is insanely competitive. I'm interested in writing for Television specifically, but I want to have the opportunity to hone my craft and be as well rounded as possible. I come from a theater background, so am open to Dramatic Writing Programs as well. For that reason, I'm really interested in NYU's MFA in Dramatic Writing program. Also, I'm from the East Coast so being closer to my family would be nice. So far I know I'm applying to USC UCLA and NYU, but I want to know about other programs. Columbia? Northwestern? AFI? I don't know my chances for these elite programs. I'm really lost and want to learn about other programs that might be a good fit for me! Any help would be awesome. Thanks in advance.
