MFA Application Status Report 2019

I applied to six producing programs

UCLA producers program - I wasn't interviewed, so I'm expecting a rejection ?
Chapman film&tv producing - Accepted

Interviewed and waiting to hear from these four:
USC Peter Stark - I'm guessing that results will be out this week
AFI producing - March 15th
Columbia creative producing - based on past spreadsheets, results would be out next weekend
NYU MBA/MFA program - interviewers mentioned that results will be out late March

I'm really hoping that i get into the Stark program. This week is going to be living hell for me ?

Applied to
NYU MBA/MFA: Denied
UCLA Producer's Program: never heard from them so I'm waiting for a rejection letter.
Chapman MBA/MFA: accepted and waiting for Dodge's scholarship news. Also I'll visit next week.
Columbia Creative Producer: Interviewed and anxiously waiting.

I have a good feeling about both the AFI and LMU interviews but I don't want to get my hopes up too high lol

I had a good feeling about my AFI interview as well. Who did you interview with?

In the same boat with those fee waivers, they are certainly a life saver

I had a good feeling about my AFI interview as well. Who did you interview with?
I interviewed with Michael Urban and Sara Swingley! Lovely two people. I think I did really good, they seemed to like me. I really hope I get in. I'm anxious haha. Who did you interview with?

Same actually. Michael and Sarah were great! Really laid back and willing to just chat

Yeah agree! I heard some of the other interviewers were a bit more serious

Applied to two programs this year, USC and AFI screenwriting. That was DOUBLE the amount I applied to in the last couple years (impressive, right?), in which USC was the only program I went out for. But of course the year I would drop another $100 of application fees is the year I would get into USC. Can't complain, though!

Still waiting to hear back from AFI on the 15th. though I did interview (and I thought it went really well!) Mostly waiting for them out of curiosity at this point -- can't imagine me swaying off USC (my dream school since I knew what film school was), unless AFI goes crazy and offers me a ridiculous amount of scholarship money.

UPDATE: just received an email from UCLA inviting me for an interview!

I applied to 4 MFA screenwriting programs:
  1. USC: Still waiting on a response (but at this point it's probably a no from them dawg.)
  2. Chapman: Still waiting on a response
  3. Boston University: Accepted via email with scholarship
  4. Columbia: Interview scheduled for mid March

Do you mind if I ask what your gpa or any other information you have is? I applied to LMU film &TV and havent heard anything though I felt like I was a competitive applicant.

I've applied to 3 programs.

LMU - Film and Production haven't heard a word.
USC - Film and Production haven't heard a word.
and SFSU - Film and Production haven't heard a word.

I'm applying with a 3.7 GPA as well as a short that has gotten into some festivals, and some letters of rec by industry professionals. But I haven't been interviewed and everyone else has. I'm really bummed feeling like I'm not getting into any of them. (Sorry for the pity party.)
