Film School Decisions 2026 - Where have you decided to attend?

I'll be attending Columbia University's Creative Producing program! I was also accepted to AFI's Producing program but ultimately turned it down because of the cost of attendance. The only reason I was able to accept Columbia's offer was the scholarship they gave me.
Hi, nice talking with you! Would you mind sharing how much tuition reduction did you recerive from Columbia?

It's logged in their application. :)

I’m graduating from a California Community college and didn’t get into hands on the film courses but made a portfolio of shorts with friends. I have a 4.0. I have a sai 0 Applied to 5 schools.
LMU - accepted but not into film
Pratt - accepted with 40k in awards but not accepting most of my GE credits and want me to do 4 full years. Also horrible communications from their admissions office as they made a lot of mistakes and aren’t professional in dealing with them.
Chapman - waitlisted
USC interviewed and waiting on a decision still. They said end of May.
NYU accepted no aid and I have to start summer pro game May 18. Giving me 58 credits so I only need to go for 2.5 years.

So I’ll probably start at nyu but if I get into usc I’ll drop nyu and switch over because I have the cal grant and Pell grant and usc should give a little bit of help too.

Congrats on your acceptances! I'm sure you're busy, but when you have a moment it would be wonderful if you could log your applications in our database to help future applicants. :) (logging at the basic level is just dates and other info) You can even see how your application compares with others with the new scattergram feature.

Good luck hearing back from USC! :)
