UCLA TFT MFA Applicants 2026

just got the waitlist notification. actually, it was sent to my spam folder, so i’d check your spam folder if you haven’t already. i’m guessing they’ve sent out the acceptances and will be sending out waitlists next and rejections last? but i’m not sure
Do you have any inclination of where you'll end up choosing? I see you got accepted to USC for Spring at least and CalArts.

Good for you! What was weird about CalArts? Bummer, but good to find out early I guess.
i can see it being a great place for a different person, but for me the big things were that i didn’t like the location, didn’t gel with the faculty, and heard mixed reviews from current students, specifically regarding the oppressive administration and the lackluster camera equipment.

but for someone with their own camera or who is more focused on finding their voice instead of learning technical/industry skills, i can see how it would be a good fit. i just really need to have access to good camera equipment and really don’t want to live in the valley lol

Lol sounds like you'll be well positioned at USC then, I'm happy for you. I'm so curious about the mixed reviews from students and the oppressive administration. That's rough.
