Quiz on the Art of Editing

Brainstorming here... but if I was to host a workshop on editing where you would be able to cut a scene from a real show/film and I'd take everyone through strategies and tips on the art editing it and give notes on your edits... would that be something people would be interested in? It would not be free but I think it would be very valuable to people. And fun.

I'm just gauging people's interest as it'll take a good amount of work for me to prepare for and set up. As far as credentials I've been a member of the Editor's Guild and have been working professionally as an editor for the past 25 years. I've edited music videos, documentaries, 3 independent feature films, and countless hours of television for MTV, VH1, A&E, Spike, Travel Channel, OWN, and Discovery. Also, I even taught Media Composer and worked for Avid so I can give everyone lots of tips and advice on that application. The workshop would be more about thinking about how to edit a scene and the art of editing vs a pure technical how to on a certain app.

DM me if you're interested and if enough people want to do it to make it worthwhile I'll look more seriously into setting it up.
