Best CA UC school for Film Production?

Question. My daughter is interested in film production/cinematography (not theory/criticism or writing). Which school SF State, CSULA or LongBeach? Or UCSC, UCSB, UCB or UCR? We hear the CSUs might provide more hands on training and experience and UCs more theoretical. Is that true?
