KU vs UCSC Need Help!!!

Hello everyone,
I got into UCSC as a film major, film is truly what I want to pursue and tbh this was the only UC I got into so I took it. However, i’m planning on applying as a transfer to a handful of film schools I would prefer, UCSB being one of them. I am currently enrolled for UCSC, but I am wondering if I should just go to KU for film as I am from from Kansas and they have a good program. Do I go to UCSC for my first year to be in California, will this help at all for connections/internships/being closer to LA? Or do I go KU for my first year and reapply as a transfer to the other film schools?
