The Bachelor of Applied Science in Digital Filmmaking program at Olympic College is an excellent choice for the hands-on filmmaking education it provides, the industry professional faculty who teach the program, the location, the cost, and the industry-latest equipment and software used for instruction. In fact, according to Blackmagic Design, the first ever DaVinci Resolve 17 class is being taught online at Olympic College, starting Jan 4, 2021 (contact me for more information!)

In addition to overseeing student productions, one hundred percent of the faculty are active – and successful - filmmakers. Two of the faculty recently wrapped filming on a feature set in Western Washington, another is in principle photography on a documentary. The BAS in Digital Film is among the lowest cost Bachelor degree programs – if not the lowest cost program in the U.S. and the success rate of our graduates is very high.

The BAS in Digital Filmmaking is a competitive entry program, with applicants evaluated on their portfolios, prior education, and their estimated potential as filmmakers as judged by the faculty. Applications are accepted beginning December 15, 2020, and portfolio reviews are held in the Spring.
