I'm going to start building a database of scholarships for film school and filmmaking. In terms of data to collect for the database here is the information I'm looking to store:

• Scholarship Name
• Award Max
• Award Min
• Eligibility requirements
• Due date
• Application requirements
• ??
• ??

Any other data we should log with the database? I'm open to any and all suggestions.

Also what categories should I have for the scholarships?

• Undergrad? Grad?
• International?
• ??
• ??

Also if there's a scholarship that you want to let me know about to include in the database please let me know too.

I'm adding some scholarships and testing some of the fields to include. This is the time for suggestions so please check it out and try to add a scholarship to see what else you think we should include in the database in terms of info saved with each scholarship.

Filter and search will come at a later time.

I'd also like a way to somehow make it possible for people to mark that they've applied to a scholarship. In the meantime, please comment on the scholarship if you've applied to it.

Nice to have it searchable by any specific requirements, degree level, state, amount, organization, renewable/term, allowance for schools, supplies, film, travel, summer, expenses too. Deadlines, what is needed to apply, when open and closes, etc. Can apply directly or only through certain institution/school/college?

I believe a lot of the information above is included in the database. You can see what fields there are when adding one:

renewable/term

This is a good idea. Most of the ones in the database now appear to be one time only.

So the choices could be:

• one time award
• yearly
• ?

allowance for schools, supplies, film, travel, summer, expenses too.

Do you mean the award has to be spent a certain way?

Can apply directly or only through certain institution/school/college?

This is a good suggestion. This has been implemented in a "Who Can Apply" field.
