Hi all! As a current 1st year MFA Screenwriting student at UCLA, I just wanted to post in here to say good luck to you all, and if you have any questions about the program/UCLA in general, please don't hesitate to get in touch!

According to the stats there have been some accepted without interview in the past but they may have changed their process recently.

Thanks for the info! Still feeling rather nervous about not receiving an interview, but that's what the waiting game's all about

From what I know, everyone I've asked in my cohort had an interview. However, some people didn't hear back until like mid-April so there's still time. I also didn't receive a formal interview email, and just received an email like two weeks later asking why I hadn't booked a slot, so don't give up hope!

@Arthrax , If you don't mind sharing, what was your interview like? I'm wondering what type of questions you were asked and how formal we're expected to dress. My interview is scheduled for next Tuesday.
